ClostraBio Announces Positive Results in Anaerostipes Caccae Probiotic Study

ClostraBio, a developer and supplier of novel probiotics, announced the completion of a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human clinical study evaluating its Anaerostipes caccae CLB101 probiotic strain. The study, which has not yet been published, achieved the primary safety and tolerability endpoint and demonstrated statistically significant benefits in measures of gut health and exploratory outcomes.

The clinical study examined the effects of supplementing with the butyrate-producing probiotic for four weeks to evaluate safety, tolerability, and potential to impact subjective gut health measures like the Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale (GSRS), the company reported.
